Introduction to the Hiptop
You're probably already aware of what the Danger Hiptop (also known as the T-Mobile SideKick)
is since you've made it to this website. In a nutshell, it is a cellular phone, PIM, an Internet device, and
a camera. It has a full Qwerty style key pad that hides under a swiveling screen, offering easy typing and comfort.
The Hiptop also supports monophonic and polyphonic ringtones. [further revisions of this introduction are needed]
Why another Hiptop site? Well, I realized that there wasn't really a central location that offered a lot of
information about the device, how it is made, and how it works. Finding ringtones was painful, and determining
how to get certain features working was beyond the scope of an afternoon. I wanted a place for developer's
and hobbyists to be able to reference information. Another primary reason is Danger Inc. has yet to release a public SDK
which would have much of this information bundled with it.
